Opt HR’s Sponsorship of Woman Who…Business Network category
When I first heard about these awards, I knew I wanted to support them in any way I could, and that’s why Opt HR became proud sponsors of the Business Network category.
Opt HR Finalist in the Women Who … Start Up category
To then be nominated in the Women Who … Start Up category was a truly great honour.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience from nomination, through to recognition as a finalist in the 2016 Woman Who…Awards in the Start Upcategory and the awards event itself. I’ve never entered anything this like this before and I’ve made some great friends through the experience.
I’m very grateful for the support from my family and friends and their belief in me. I’ve come a long way in a very short time in business and it’s a great achievement to be recognised for my efforts. Well done to all of the Woman Who finalists and winners.
This year’s award had a distinguished panel of judges that included: Dr Sharon Redrobe, CEO and saviour of Twycross Zoo, as well as Businesswoman of the Year; Ian O’Donnell MBE, owner of Real Point web design company, as well as National Councillor and Policy representative for the Federation of Small Businesses in Coventry & Warwickshire; Paul Carvell, Managing Partner of the SFB Group and President of the Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce; Emma Heathcote-James, creator of The Little Soap Company and the woman described as the Jamie Oliver of the cosmetics industry; and Debbie Davies, co-director of Consilia Consulting and former MD at the Coventry Telegraph.
Attended by 140 local businesspeople and hosted by journalist and TV presenter Trish Adudu, there were also stirring keynote speeches by Sharon Redrobe, Emma Heathcote-James and Marketing Director of the Rigby Group Plc and Chair of Women of the Year, Judy Groves.
All in all, it was a fantastic day and I’m very proud to have been a part of it.
Roll on next year!
